Movie Reviews 6/5

I didnt have a chance last week to post my review for X-Men Apocalypse so I figure I will include it in the reviews for this weekend. I have been a fan of all but 2 X-Men Universe films and this was another good one. It did not meet the expectations I had after Days of Future  Past but was still a solid film for every X-Men fan to see. 6.5/10.

First movie for this weekend was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the first new TMNT movie 2 years ago and although I didn't enjoy this movie as much it was still one I can recommend for fans of the old cartoon and old movies. 6/10.

Second movie, and the one that shocked me more than any other, was Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping. This movie is made completely and fully by the Lonely Island music group which includes Andy Samberg and was started on Saturday Night Live. If you are a fan of their music and spoofs and enjoy a dumb/raunchy comedy with a lot of laughs then this is for you. This is definitely not a movie to bring the kids to. 7/10.

Last movie of the night was Alice Through the Looking Glass. I was not a huge fan of the first Alice and am not really a huge fan of this one either. I can say it was better than I thought it would be but only because I didn't have the highest hopes. If you are a fan of the first though you will love this movie as I do believe it was better than the first. 5.5/10.
