Blade Runner 2049 Review
Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what's left of society into chaos. K's discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years. Denis Villeneuve (Arrival, Sicario, Prisoners) directs and cinematographer Roger Deakins films an absolute masterpiece that somehow goes beyond the original. In most sci-fi films based in the future or an apocalyptic type world the story or the acting are put on the back-burner to the visuals and cool new gadgets but that does not happen in this movie. The acting throughout the film carried by Ryan Gosling is great and the script and score of the movie are exceptional as well.
